This community is comprised of 50 acres developed into 50 home sites and lies on the southern edge of Waynesville, N.C. It is within the city limits and has all of the city services including sewer and water. The streets are paved and easy to drive.
Most of the home sites have outstanding views – Many have views of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which lies 7-8 miles in the distance. The community has a children’s playground, tennis courts, a basketball goal and a central location for cookouts around a campfire.
This was the first Smoky Mountain Retreat to be developed and now has a variety of completed log homes nestled among the heavily wooded sites. Wild turkey and grouse still share the habitat of this pristine community along with many other interesting forest natives.
Tightly deed-restricted to preserve the natural terrain and the value of each home, the annual home-owner association fees are very low – $300 per year. The streets are city maintained and all fees are currently used to maintain the entry and park area.
